You can use Google Maps offline by downloading the map of the area you want to visit in advance. Here are the steps to do that⁴⁵⁶:
- Open the Google Maps app on your phone or tablet.
- Tap on your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Tap “Offline Maps”.
- Tap “Select Your Own Map”.
- Move the rectangle over the area you want to download.
- Tap “Download”.
